The Microsoft Teams migration is part of our ongoing implementation of the Microsoft O365 suite of solutions for UC San Diego Health users. Moving team members to the Health tenant provides additional security measures and more flexible access to your information. It is important to note that O365 users can only exist on either the Health or campus tenant, not both.

Monterey is now available in Self-service for Macs (for managed devices). In Self-Service, you can go to "Featured" or "macOS" to see the macOS upgrade. You may intermittently get a "nudge" alerting you that the upgrade is available. Please keep in mind that your device must be compatible with the upgrade. To see the list of compatible devices, please click the link.

UC San Diego’s Office of Information Assurance instituted the Cybersecurity Certification for Research (CCR) process in 2020 to help secure research assets. By self-certifying now, you can protect yourself and make meaningful progress towards meeting the new requirements. The objectives of this program are to establish foundational security measures that become the baseline of important security leading practices. Self-certification will be required on an every 3-year basis.​​

UC San Diego Health has implemented a secure technology called Modern Authentication for email, Teams, and OneDrive access. As of April 27, 2021, applications that do not support this technology will be restricted from accessing Microsoft 365 services such as email, Teams, and OneDrive.

As of Thursday, April 8, 2021, Duo two-step log-in will be required for remote access to email applications such as Outlook on desktop and mobile, Teams, and OneDrive. IS will also enable an additional authentication step for those who are already using Duo. ​
